How to deposit on IQ Option in Costa Rica, step by step
We paid with Visa / Mastercard, the first tile in the cashier. The red numbers on the screenshots follow the clicks.
Step 1: Click Deposit
Press the green Deposit button at the top right of the traderoom (1). The $10,000 beside it is Practice money, shown in dollars even though the deposit forms use colones.
Step 2: Choose “Top up your account”
The Make a Deposit window has a practice side and a real side. Refill to $10,000 only refills the virtual balance. Press Top up your account (1) to pay with real money.
Step 3: Choose Visa / Mastercard
The page opens with the IQWELCOME banner, valid until 18 Oct 2026. Under “Recommended” you will find Visa / Mastercard, Banco Nacional ONLINE and Skrill. Click Visa / Mastercard (1). Seven coins and, under “Other methods”, Neteller, Apple Pay and Google Pay are further down.
Step 4: Choose CRC as the account currency
Select CRC, the Costa Rican colón (1); EUR, GBP and USD are the alternatives. Press Next (2). The grey notice says the account currency cannot be changed after the first deposit, so think twice before choosing colones if your money is in dollars.
Step 5: Enter the amount and check the bonus
Type an amount (1) or pick a quick button, from ₡6,000 to ₡100,000. The IQWELCOME code was already applied (2). With ₡6,000 the form showed “Bonus 50%”, +₡3,000, and ₡9,000 credited; the buttons advertised +70% on ₡10,000, +80% on ₡15,000 and ₡20,000, +90% on ₡25,000 to ₡75,000, and +100% on ₡100,000. The × beside the code removes it.
Type ₡1 and the field turns red. The card’s limits appear underneath as “From ₡ 4,700 to ₡ 5,137,386” (1), and the bonus box says “Deposit ₡ 4,600 or more to get a bonus” (2).
Step 6: Enter your card details and confirm
The card block (1) asks for the card number, the month and year of expiry, the CVC and the cardholder’s name. “Save my card for future instant payments” is ticked already (2). After you tick the terms box (3), the green Deposit ₡ 6,000 button (4) takes the payment. We stopped in front of it.

The table sets our cashier beside IQ Option’s public deposits page, both read on 8 October 2026. The page lists seven methods with a minimum of 4700 CRC (10 EUR, 10 GBP, 700 RUB, 10 USD) and 0% commission; everything is instant except Banco Nacional ONLINE, which shows 5 to 60 minutes.

Depositing with Banco Nacional ONLINE
This is the Costa Rican bank method. After the amount (which accepts ₡4,700 to ₡550,000,000) and the bonus code (1), the form asks for your first name, last name and cédula de identidad, nine digits (2). Tick the terms (3) and press Proceed to Payment (4); IQ Option says it then redirects you to the payment page. We typed nothing in the three fields and did not press the button, so we cannot show the bank’s own screens.
Depositing with Skrill and Tether (USDT)
Skrill took the same ₡4,700 to ₡550,000,000. Type the amount (1), keep or remove the bonus code (2), tick the terms (3) and press Proceed to Payment (4) to continue on Skrill’s page. We did not press it.
The crypto list is Bitcoin, Cardano, Ethereum (ERC-20), Litecoin, Ripple (XRP), Tether (USDT) on TRC20 and USDC on BNB Smart Chain, converted into colones on arrival. Tether showed the same range. Enter the amount (1), read the grey note (2) that the wallet address can be used again for any amount (“equal to or greater than $10” in its own wording), tick the terms (3) and press Proceed to Payment (4). Withdrawing from IQ Option in Costa Rica
The withdrawals page offers one free withdrawal per calendar month, whatever the method (1). Later ones cost 2%, capped at ₡16,500. Banco Nacional is not among the payout options: money goes back to a card (2), Skrill, Neteller, Volet.com, WebMoney or a coin address.

A footnote under the table gives card issuers up to 21 calendar days, and a request may take up to 3 business days. The six coins are Tether (TRC20), Ethereum, USD Coin (BNB Smart Chain), Ripple, Cardano and Litecoin; there is no Bitcoin row, and we did not open the withdrawal list inside the account, so look at yours. Check the rules in Costa Rica first
IQ Option let us register from Costa Rica, but that is no Costa Rican licence. The securities regulator SUGEVAL says on its investor-alerts page that entities which claim to operate in or from Costa Rica without being entered in the Registro Nacional de Valores e Intermediarios have no authorisation to offer securities to the public, and that it neither supervises them, nor has evidence of their legitimacy: “no ejerce supervisión o control sobre dichas entidades”. Named firms follow, among them AvaTrade US; IQ Option is not one of them (we searched the page text on 8 October 2026). The same page lists a notice on forex investments, dated 22 November 2018, which calls them high-risk, says that the ways to recover money or file claims lie outside Costa Rica’s financial authorities and often outside Costa Rican jurisdiction, and adds that these activities lie outside SUGEVAL’s regulation. These are warnings, not a ban: we found no Costa Rican block of the site and no action against people who write about it. This is not legal advice: work out your own position before you deposit and never risk more than you can afford to lose. If your deposit has not arrived
- Look at the time shown. Cards and Skrill are instant, Banco Nacional ONLINE and coins take 5 to 60 minutes.
- Match the network. A coin sent over a chain other than the one on the form can be lost; Tether runs on TRC20.
- Ask your bank. Some banks reject online payments to overseas merchants; have yours allow it, or try the Banco Nacional method.
