We recorded every screenshot on this page in the evening of 8 October (UTC), on an IQ Option Practice account registered in Papua New Guinea; the traderoom clock, set to UTC+10, already showed 9 October. Our VPN server is listed by its provider as Port Moresby, flagged “virtual”, and a location lookup put it in Singapore, but IQ Option’s sign-up form still read Papua New Guinea as the country of residence. We stopped every payment flow in front of its final button, so no money moved.

How to deposit on IQ Option in Papua New Guinea, step by step
The walkthrough uses Visa / Mastercard, the only recommended tile. Numbered red boxes show the clicks in order.
Step 1: Press Deposit
Look at the top-right corner of the traderoom: the green Deposit button (1) is next to the balance. That $10,000 is virtual Practice money.
Step 2: Choose “Top up your account”
The Make a Deposit window has a grey Refill to $10,000 button that only restores play money. Press the green Top up your account button (1) to fund the real account, which starts at $0.00.
Step 3: Select Visa / Mastercard
The method page has no promotional banner on our account. “Recommended” holds one tile, Visa / Mastercard (1), marked instant. The “Crypto deposit” block follows with seven coins, each taking 5 to 60 minutes.
Step 4: Pick the account currency
Three currencies were listed, USD, EUR and GBP, and none was ticked. We clicked USD (1), then Next (2). The grey note warns that you cannot change the currency once you have deposited.
Step 5: Type the amount
Write the sum in the amount field (1), or pick a preset between $10 and $1,000. Under it, the promotion box (2) was an empty code field with an Apply button, and its heading read “View available (0)”, so no bonus was open to our account.
Typing $1 turns the field red and shows the card range under it: “From $10 to $11,050” (1).
Step 6: Fill in the card form
The card block (1) asks for the card number, the expiry month and year, the CVC and the name on the card. The box that keeps the card for later instant payments is ticked by default (2). With the terms accepted (3), the green Deposit $10 button (4) completes the payment. We did not press it.

Only the page lists Volet.com. Its footnote adds that in some countries certain deposit methods stay restricted until the account is fully verified.
Depositing with Tether (USDT) and other coins
Seven coins are listed: Bitcoin, Cardano, Ethereum (ERC-20), Litecoin, Ripple (XRP), Tether (USDT) on TRC20 and USDC on BNB Smart Chain. IQ Option converts what you send into your account currency. The Tether form accepted $10 to $1,000,000 (the red line under the amount said so). After you enter the amount (1), a grey note (2) explains that the wallet address shown next stays valid for repeated payments of $10 or more. Withdrawing from IQ Option in Papua New Guinea
The withdrawals page gives every account one free withdrawal per calendar month (1), whichever method it uses; after that a payout costs 2%, with a cap of 30 USD. Rows exist for two Visa/MasterCard entries (2), Neteller, six coins, Volet.com USD and WebMoney WMZ. Skrill is missing, and so is any bank transfer.

According to the footnote, an issuing bank can need up to 21 calendar days to credit a card payout, and any request may take up to 3 business days. The six coins are Cardano, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, Tether (TRC20) and USD Coin (BNB Smart Chain); Bitcoin is not among them. IQ Option let us register from Papua New Guinea, but that is no local licence. The Securities Commission of Papua New Guinea (SCPNG) published a warning on 13 December 2024 about “the growing number of fast money scams and pyramid schemes that are disguised as investment schemes offering unrealistically high returns”, and lists “guaranteed” high returns among the warning signs. The notice names no broker and no trading platform. The Bank of Papua New Guinea also has a notice about an unlicensed “investment” scheme on social media, but its page would not open for us, so we cannot describe it. We did not check Papua New Guinea’s exchange-control rules for residents who send money abroad. We came across no block of the site, no case against anyone who writes about IQ Option and no notice that names it. We cannot give legal advice. If your deposit has not arrived
- Is it still within the stated time? A card payment is instant, a coin transfer may need up to an hour.
- Check the network. A coin sent on a different chain from the one on the form can be lost; Tether uses TRC20.
- Ask your bank. Some banks decline card payments to foreign merchants. Ask the issuer to allow it.
