We recorded the screenshots on this page in the evening of 8 October (UTC), on an IQ Option Practice account registered in Bhutan; the traderoom clock, set to UTC+6, had already passed midnight into 9 October. The provider lists our VPN server as Thimphu and flags it “virtual”, and a location lookup put it in Singapore, but IQ Option’s sign-up form still accepted Bhutan as the country of residence. We stopped each payment flow before its last button, so no money was sent.

How to deposit on IQ Option in Bhutan, step by step
The card route uses the only recommended tile. Red numbered boxes show the clicks in order.
Step 1: Press Deposit
At the top right of the traderoom, beside the balance, sits the green Deposit button (1). The $10,000 you see is Practice money.
Step 2: Choose “Top up your account”
The Make a Deposit window has a grey Refill to $10,000 button that only restores play money. The green Top up your account button (1) starts a real deposit; the real balance beside it reads $0.00.
Step 3: Select Visa / Mastercard
The IQWELCOME banner heads the page; on our account it gave 19 Oct 2026 as its end date. Under “Recommended” there is a single tile, Visa / Mastercard (1), marked instant. The “Crypto deposit” block below it lists seven coins that take 5 to 60 minutes.
Step 4: Choose the account currency
Three currencies were offered and none was ticked. We clicked USD (1), the first, and pressed Next (2). IQ Option warns that the currency cannot be changed once you have made a first deposit.
Step 5: Enter the amount
Type the amount (1) or use a preset from $10 to $1,000. The promotion box (2) is an empty code field with an Apply button; the heading above it said “View available (1)”. We did not open that offer and applied no code.
If you type $1 the field turns red and the card range shows below it: “From $10 to $11,050” (1).
Step 6: Fill in the card form
The card block (1) takes the card number, the month and year of expiry, the CVC and the cardholder’s name. IQ Option ticks “Save my card for future instant payments” for you (2). After you accept the terms (3), the green Deposit $10 button (4) pays. We did not press it.

Volet.com is listed on the page only. Its footnote says that, until an account is fully verified, some countries restrict certain deposit methods.
Depositing with Tether (USDT) and other coins
The seven coins are Bitcoin, Cardano, Ethereum (ERC-20), Litecoin, Ripple (XRP), Tether (USDT) on TRC20 and USDC on BNB Smart Chain; IQ Option converts the coin you send into your account currency. Tether’s range was $10 to $1,000,000. After the amount (1), a grey note (2) says that the wallet address on the next page can be used repeatedly for any sum of $10 or more. Withdrawing from IQ Option in Bhutan
The withdrawals page makes the first withdrawal of every calendar month free, whatever the method (1); each later one costs 2%, up to 30 USD. The list starts with Cardano, Ethereum and Litecoin, then Neteller, the two Visa/MasterCard rows (2), Ripple, Tether, USD Coin, Volet.com USD and WebMoney WMZ. Skrill is not in it, and there is no bank transfer.

A footnote lets card issuers take up to 21 calendar days and says a request may need up to 3 business days. The coins are Cardano, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, Tether (TRC20) and USD Coin (BNB Smart Chain); Bitcoin cannot be withdrawn. Check the rules in Bhutan first
IQ Option let us register from Bhutan, but that is no Bhutanese authorisation, and the country’s rules on foreign currency are strict. The Royal Monetary Authority’s Foreign Exchange Regulations 2013, adopted on 30 March 2013, say that no person except authorised banks and authorised money changers “shall deal in or transfer any foreign currencies to any person who is not an authorised person”, and that a person who breaks this chapter is guilty of an offence and liable to a fine of up to two times the amount involved. Regulation 49 bars Bhutanese citizens from opening and keeping foreign-currency accounts abroad, with four exceptions (diplomatic and consular missions, authorised banks, citizens stationed abroad for study, training or work, and approved public corporations and trust funds), and a breach of it is fined Nu. 100,000. The texts are written about foreign currency in general. They do not mention online brokers, CFDs or binary options, and we cannot tell you whether a deposit on a trading platform or a trading account at a foreign broker falls under them. We searched the home page and the public-awareness page of the Royal Monetary Authority on 8 October 2026 (its certificate triggers a browser warning) and found no notice about forex, binary options, online trading or IQ Option; we also found no block of the site and no case against a trader or against someone who writes about IQ Option.
