Last updated: 5 October 2026. Every screenshot below was recorded that day (Sri Lanka time) on an IQ Option Practice account registered in Sri Lanka, over a connection that IQ Option recognised as Sri Lankan. We stopped before the final payment button, so no money was sent.
A Sri Lankan IQ Option account is funded in US dollars, euros or pounds. The currency step has no rupee option, and the cashier lists no Sri Lankan banks or local wallets. You open the cashier, choose a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, an e-wallet such as Skrill or Neteller, or a cryptocurrency, pick USD, enter at least $10 and pay. This guide follows a $10 Mastercard deposit step by step, then covers Skrill, Tether (USDT), the official minimums, withdrawals and a note on local rules.

How to deposit on IQ Option in Sri Lanka, step by step
We followed the steps with a Mastercard, the first method the Sri Lankan cashier recommends. The numbers in each screenshot show where to click, in order.
Step 1: Click Deposit
In the traderoom, click the green Deposit button at the top right, next to your balance (1). A new account starts with $10,000 of virtual Practice money.
Step 2: Choose “Top up your account”
The Make a Deposit window puts the Practice account ($10,000) beside your real account, which on a Sri Lankan account starts at $0.00 in US dollars. Refill to $10,000 only refills the Practice account with virtual money, which cannot be withdrawn. To deposit real money, click Top up your account (1).
Step 3: Choose Mastercard
The cashier recommends Mastercard, Visa and Apple Pay. Below them it lists seven cryptocurrencies and four other methods: Google Pay, Skrill, Volet.com and Neteller. Click Mastercard (1). A banner above the list offers a welcome bonus “up to 100%” with the code IQWELCOME; on 5 October 2026 it was marked “Expires 15 Oct 2026”.
Step 4: Choose US dollars (USD) as your account currency
Before your first deposit, the cashier asks for the currency of your real account. Our Sri Lankan account could choose only USD, EUR or GBP, so rupees (LKR) are not an option. Select USD (1) and click Next (2). IQ Option warns that you cannot change the currency after your first deposit. If your card is in rupees, ask your bank which exchange rate and fees it applies to a dollar payment before you pay.
Step 5: Enter the amount and check the bonus
Type the amount (1) or click one of the eight quick amounts, which run from $10 to $1,000. The Mastercard form accepted $10 to $11,050 on our account, and the field marks anything outside that range in red.
The welcome-bonus code IQWELCOME was already applied (2). On $10 it added 50% ($5), so $15 would be credited; the quick amounts showed +70% on $20, +90% on $50 and +100% from $250. Below $10 the form says “Deposit $10 or more to get a bonus”. If you do not want a bonus, remove the code with the × before you pay, and read the bonus terms behind the (i) icon first.
Step 6: Enter your card details and confirm
Enter the card number, the expiry date (MM/YY), the cardholder’s name and the CVC, the three digits on the back of the card (1). Save my card for future instant payments was ticked by default (2); untick it if you do not want the card stored. Tick the box to accept the terms (3) and click Deposit $10 (4). Use a card in your own name.
We stopped at this screen and did not pay. The cashier lists Mastercard as instant.

These are the methods we saw on our Sri Lankan account on 5 October 2026, with the time the cashier shows. IQ Option’s deposits page lists $10, €10, £10 or 1,000 RUB for every method on it.

Every method on the deposits page has 0% commission. The page names only the cards and the wallets; the seven cryptocurrencies appear in the cashier but not on the page. The cashier showed no Sri Lankan bank transfer.
Paying with Skrill
Skrill is listed as instant and accepted $10 to $1,000,000. Choose it, then pick USD and click Next as before. Type the amount (1); the bonus code was applied here too (2). Tick the terms (3) and click Proceed to Payment (4). The form says you will be redirected to the payment page to complete the payment, so you do not type wallet details on IQ Option itself. We stopped here.
Depositing with Tether (USDT) and other crypto
The Sri Lankan cashier listed seven coins, each at 5 to 60 minutes: Tether (USDT, TRC20), Bitcoin, USDC (BNB Smart Chain), Ethereum (ERC-20), XRP, Cardano and Litecoin. IQ Option converts them into your account currency, so you do not hold crypto on the platform.
On the Tether (USDT) TRC20 form, type the amount (1): it accepted $10 to $1,000,000, and the bonus code applied here as well. The grey note (2) says the wallet address on the next page can be reused any number of times, for any amount of $10 or more. Tick the terms (3) and click Proceed to Payment (4); the next page shows the address, and you send USDT on the TRC20 network only. See does IQ Option accept crypto for more.
Withdrawing from IQ Option in Sri Lanka
IQ Option’s withdrawals page for a Sri Lankan account gives you one free withdrawal per calendar month, whatever the method (1). The minimum is $2 for cards, Skrill, WebMoney and Volet.com, and higher for Neteller and crypto (2). Other withdrawals cost 2%, at most $30 (3). The page lists no Sri Lankan bank withdrawals:
- Cards: Visa and MasterCard from $2, listed as instant. The page notes that your bank can take up to 21 calendar days to process a card withdrawal.
- E-wallets: Skrill, WebMoney WMZ and Volet.com from $2, Neteller from $10, each in 1 to 24 hours.
- Crypto: six coins from $12, in 1 to 24 hours: Tether (USDT) TRC20, USDC (BNB Smart Chain), Ethereum (ERC-20), XRP, Cardano and Litecoin. Bitcoin was not in the withdrawal list.

Check the rules in Sri Lanka first
IQ Option’s sign-up form accepts Sri Lanka, but that does not tell you what Sri Lankan law allows. The Central Bank of Sri Lanka published a notice to the public on 21 October 2019 about unauthorised online forex trading. It says that, under the Foreign Exchange Act No. 12 of 2017, other persons in or resident in Sri Lanka are not permitted to undertake forex trading transactions or remit funds outside Sri Lanka for them, and that the bank may act against both the people who trade and those who encourage them. The notice is about forex trading, and we are not lawyers, so check the position for the kind of trading you plan before you deposit. Never deposit money you cannot afford to lose.
If your deposit has not arrived
- Ask your card issuer. A card payment to an overseas merchant can be declined if your bank has not enabled international online payments. Visa is listed as “Fast verification” rather than instant.
- Check the crypto network. Send each coin only on the network named in the method, for example TRC20 for Tether.
