Last updated: 8 October 2026. The screenshots show IQ Option’s own Islamic account page (iqoption.com/en/islamic-trading-account), recorded on 5 October 2026 in a browser on an IQ Option Practice account registered in Brazil. We also read IQ Option’s “Terms and Conditions of Islamic (Swap-free) account” (dated 17 October 2023). We did not activate an Islamic account and paid nothing, so nearly everything below is what IQ Option says, not a result of our own test.
IQ Option offers an Islamic, or swap-free, account. Its page calls the account “100% swap-free” and “Sharia-compliant”, says it filters out instruments that do not comply with Sharia principles, and says activation is instant and free. Its separate terms document says something different about cost and reversibility, so read both before you activate it. Whether options trading is halal is not for a trading site to rule on: ask a qualified scholar.
Quick answer
- What it is: IQ Option’s swap-free account: no interest and no overnight fees. Spreads and commissions still apply.
- What IQ Option claims: “100% swap-free” and “Sharia-compliant”, with non-compliant instruments filtered out and “No additional fees activation” (page, 5 October 2026).
- What its terms say: a one-time non-refundable payment, no way to deactivate once activated, and no guarantee of compliance with any faith (document dated 17 October 2023).
- The two do not agree. Ask support in writing which applies to your account before you activate.
- The switch: not in Settings on our Brazilian Practice account. We did not open the account menu.
- Halal or haram: a question for a qualified scholar; scholars differ on options and CFDs.
What IQ Option’s Islamic account page says
The numbers in each screenshot match the numbers in the text.
Step 1: Read the headline claims
The page is headed “Islamic account by IQ Option” (1) with the line “No interest, no hidden fees — just a halal trading experience you can trust”. A Go to traderoom button (2) leads to the platform. Under it are three badges (3): “100% swap-free”, “Sharia-compliant” and a “4.3 on Trustpilot” rating. We have not checked the rating, so we do not repeat it as a fact.

A badge at the top right of the page reads “The best Islamic trading account 2026, FinanceFeeds Awards”. IQ Option’s blog (11 August 2026) says its Islamic Account was named “Best Islamic Trading Account 2026” at the FinanceFeeds Awards. We have not confirmed the award with FinanceFeeds, so this is IQ Option’s statement.
Step 2: See what the account changes
The page shows an illustration of a profile card with an “Islamic account” toggle switched on (1) and, under it, the sentence “Unlike standard accounts with swap fees, Islamic accounts follow Islamic finance principles by removing interest-based charges” (2). The name and ID on the card are part of IQ Option’s illustration and are blurred here.

Step 3: Know that some instruments are filtered
Under “Trade with Islamic principles” (1) the page says: “Your Islamic account automatically filters out instruments that don’t comply with Sharia principles, helping you invest with confidence. You can turn this off anytime.” Its illustration of the asset menu (2) shows a lock beside Blitz, Binary, Indices, Stocks and Commodities, while Digital shows a count (209 in the picture). A tooltip (3) reads “Disable Islamic account to trade on this instrument”. The picture is an illustration, so which instruments are locked on a real account is for IQ Option support to confirm.

Step 4: Compare Standard and Islamic
Two cards sit side by side. The Standard card (1) lists 24/7 support in your language, a free demo account with $10,000, instant withdrawals and Arabic language support. The Islamic card (2) says “All Standard features, plus”: an Islamic profile status, halal trading assets, instant account activation and “No additional fees activation”. Both carry “Free / Forever” and a switch line (3): “Switch to Islamic anytime” on Standard and “Switch to Standard anytime” on Islamic.

Step 5: Check the asset claim
The page says “175+ Assets available” (1) and “Trade exclusive halal assets — ethically sourced, Sharia-compliant, and free from alcohol and tobacco industries” (2). It names Gold, Silver, Apple Inc. and Salesforce as examples. It also lists a platform in Arabic with full translation and native-language support, and apps for Android, iOS, Windows and macOS.

What IQ Option’s terms document says
IQ Option publishes “Terms and Conditions of Islamic (Swap-free) account” as a supplement to the client agreement. The copy we read is dated 17 October 2023, so IQ Option may have changed it since; it does not match every claim on the page.
| Point | Islamic account page (5 October 2026) | Terms document (17 October 2023) |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | “Free / Forever”, “No additional fees activation” | Provided “upon a one-time non-refundable payment” taken from the real account balance when the account is opened |
| Switching back | “Switch to Standard anytime” | “Once the Swap-free account is activated, the Client is unable to deactivate it and/or receive a refund” |
| Charges | “removing interest-based charges” | Trading “without interest and without overnight fees”; other spreads and commissions in the Fees Policy still apply |
| Religious compliance | “Sharia-compliant” | The company “does not guarantee that the Swap-free account complies with the requirements of any faith or set of beliefs” |
| Changes | Not stated | The company may change the terms without prior notice, and may revoke the status at its sole discretion; within 14 days of creation it would refund the purchase amount |
Because the two texts differ on cost and reversibility, ask IQ Option support in writing, before you activate, which terms apply to your account and whether any payment is taken.
Where is the switch?
We looked for an Islamic switch in the platform’s Settings on our Brazilian Practice account (Appearance, Trading, Keyboard shortcuts, Notifications, Privacy and Account settings) and did not find one. We did not open the profile menu, because it shows the account email, so the switch may be there. We could not confirm in which countries the account is offered, and found no list on IQ Option’s page. If you cannot find it, ask support in the platform chat (how to contact IQ Option support).
Is options trading halal?
There is no single answer. Scholars differ on options and on CFDs, and the answer can depend on the contract and on the asset. A trading platform’s label is not a ruling, and IQ Option’s own terms say it does not guarantee compliance with any faith. Ask a qualified scholar you trust. Trading carries a high risk of loss whatever the account type.
