Marks the candle where the Aroon Oscillator crosses its zero line. A cross up means the latest 25-candle high is now more recent than the latest low; a cross down means the opposite.
The rules
HIGHER marker
The Aroon Oscillator(25) closes above zero after being at or below zero on the previous candle.
LOWER marker
The Aroon Oscillator(25) closes below zero after being at or above zero on the previous candle.
A marker appears after the next candle opens and is drawn on the candle that completed the setup. It is a chart observation, not an instruction to trade.
How to read it
The script runs in a separate panel. The red line is the Aroon Oscillator from -100 to +100 and the faint line is zero. A green HIGHER triangle at the bottom marks the candle where it crossed above zero; a red LOWER triangle at the top marks a cross below zero.

Same view with built-in indicators: Add IQ Option's Aroon Oscillator (or Aroon with Up and Down lines) with period 25 and watch the zero line.

Key points
- Aroon asks one question: which is more recent, the highest high or the lowest low of the last 25 candles?
- The oscillator subtracts Aroon Down from Aroon Up, so it swings between minus 100 and plus 100.
- Above zero means the recent high is fresher than the recent low.
- A close above zero after being at or below it is marked HIGHER; the mirror move is marked LOWER.
- Markers use the completed candle and do not repaint.
- Try it on the Practice balance in trending and in sideways markets to see the difference.
Limitations. The oscillator crosses zero often when price moves sideways, and it only looks at when highs and lows occurred, not how large the move was. Crosses can therefore be frequent and small in ranging markets. Test on the Practice balance before risking real funds.
Install it in four steps
- Download and inspectDownload one .lua file and open it in a plain-text editor if you want to read it first. If you downloaded the ZIP, extract it.
- Open Chart Analysis → ScriptsIn the IQ Option traderoom, choose the Practice balance, open the chart analysis panel, select Scripts and choose Import script.
- Save and add to chartSelect the downloaded file, review the imported code, choose Save, then use the + control to add it to the chart.
- Change one input at a timeConfirm the default view first. Then adjust periods, levels or colours one setting at a time and note what changes.

--
-- Aroon Oscillator(25) is Aroon Up minus Aroon Down: how recently the highest
-- high and the lowest low of the last 25 candles occurred (formula from the
-- official Quadcode script, scaled to -100..+100). Above zero means the high
-- is more recent than the low; below zero means the low is more recent.
--
-- HIGHER: the Aroon Oscillator closes above zero after being at or below
-- zero on the previous candle.
-- LOWER: the Aroon Oscillator closes below zero after being at or above
-- zero on the previous candle.
--
-- Markers use the previous completed candle: they appear after the next candle
-- opens and are shifted back one bar onto the candle that qualified.
-- Educational chart tool only. It does not place trades, choose an expiry,
-- predict outcomes, or guarantee results. Test on a Practice balance first.
